UserManagement:User.Country and the country field on the checkout page

Hi,

Why does the country field (UserManagement:User.Country) from the alternative addresses not correspond with the country field on the checkout page (in the Solution Set)? When you are logged in on the frontend and adds an alternative address, the input field is a plain text field, but on the checkout page the country field is a dropdown listbox and it does not get filled with the value from a selected alternative address  (the dropdown listbox named "Address List") if you choose an address from the dropdown listbox. I find this very odd. Are there a good explanation?

No good explanation. Of course it would make sense it works as you describe.

 

We have a make over of the solution set on the agenda and will take this one into consideration.

 

Until then, I believe it should be fixable in the template using JQuery or similar.
