Items - Richselect

It would be great if it was possible to create a more "rich" dropdown list (but not complex), just like the layout/paragraph template selector.

We could then assign a small image/icon (and maybe description) to each option that illustrates what this option means (e.g. how it affects layout / how data will be presented).

Not sure what you mean; can't you already do that with the RichSelect control? Check out an example at the end of this article: http://devierkoeden.com/articles/building-dynamicweb-module-admin-interfaces-1-introduction.aspx

Oh, wait. I just saw your second post and now I understand this deals with the new Items Type feature, right? That wasn't very clear....

Hi Imar,

Yes, sorry if that was unclear. The idea was to have richselects as a field type on the item types.

Yes definitely a good idea. I'll add that as a candidate to the backlog for 8.3.
