5 things to improve the daily use of Dynamicweb

Dynamicweb is a very good cms, but some things have been bugging my customer for a long time and they would love to see it improved:

 1.
A trash bin in eCom so that if you delete groups or products you can get them back.

2.
All editor windows using the editor.css like in a paragraphs (eCom, News v and all others modules etc.) so that the user can see what they are getting on the page in frontend.

3.
Better frontend editing with the page looking exactly as the visitor sees it, but possibility for the editor to edit text and have the page update to see the result. If special function should be available the should only be visible on mouse over (change photo etc.)

4.
Search, sort and filter functions in the trash bin. Show newest deleted items first. Filter per website and/or user.

5.
Better usability when linking to pages - simpler and faster. It takes 3 independent popup/floating windows to link to a page. Two of these will move behind the backend window if the user clicks this window by accident, and the function will be blocked till he gets it to the front and closes it. Please make it one window and one that floats on the page.

I agree.

Usability is also an issue, with the fileupload, if the popup upload window gets "lost", the function is Blocked, and users are often unable to figure out the problem beeing that the window is already open.

7.
In these Smartphones/Smartpads times, the backend interface has to be compatible, and adjusted to the logic of these devices.
