How to use my DW7 import/export activities on a DW8 solution?

Hey,

I am trying to use my import/export activities on a DW8 solution (8.0.1.0), but I can't the find the Import/Export module - has it been renamed? Data integration? Do I have to register the activities somewhere?

Hi Allan,

Is it an empty DW, or  a previous DW that is being updated?

Hi Morten,

It is a empty DW8 solution - downloaded  both the application and SQL/Files

What is the module called? Still Import/Export?

The Import/Export module is not visible on an empty default database for Dynamicweb 8. The module has been replaced by the new Data Integration module. The reason for not being visible is that we prefer for the module NOT to be used, and there will be no further development on the module. We recommend using Data Integration module instead.

However, if you still want to use the old module, you should enable it directly in the Module table, by creating a new row with the proper settings. If it is a hosted database you can have our helpdesk to help you with enabling it.

If you need help with the settings for the new row, please let me know.
