SearchWeighted custom search results for module

 I am aware that it is possible to integrate a custom module with the search module.

I need something more advanced. Depending on which site layer the module is used i need different search results. The categories architecture is not what is needed here. Filtering should be done on a set of properties for each site layer.

Can this be achieved with the search weighted module? Can i integrate custom code in the search module?
Or are there other ideas/solutions?

Hi Remi

At this time there is no possibilities to hook into the search module. It does not have any kind of extensibility except the one you have found.

Only option is to create a custom module on the same page as the search module, and have that react on the "q" parameter in the querystring and do you own search.

 ok, thanks for your answer.

On a side note. Can you tell the "Forum guys" that it is not possible to use the email notifications on a topic. I tried clicking it with IE8 or Chrome but i am unable to subscribe.

The "forum guys" are aware of this. We're working on a solution to get it fixed...
