"Official" way to do ajax-cartv1 ?

We have to go with cartv1, not v2, due to some import issues we have. And the cart is going to open through Ajax, sort of on top of the rest of the page. Is there an officially recommended way to do this?
We have found this guide http://websiteudvikler.dk/post/howto-implement-an-ajax-based-shopping-experience-in-dynamicweb-ecommerce.html which seems ok, but just wanted to double check that it still works for cartv1, and is not superseeded by some new Dynamic Web functionality.

Also, wouldn't it be easier to build that kind of cart with iframes instead of pure ajax? Are there any drawbacks to that?

Hi Roman

We haven't done any standard AJAX enabled carts in Dynamicweb, but I don't see why this shouldn't work. As far as I can tell, this example is actually using CartV2, but there should be no issues by using CartV1 instead.
