Number of products discount calculation extra products

Hi there,

Can somebody explain how this part of the discounts feauture works in DynamicWeb?

When there is a discount on a number of products (example: buy 3 products for the price of 2) what will be the price if you will buy more than the given amount of products?

There are 2 possible scenarios:

Scenario 1
- 3 products for the price of 2
- Product 4 will have the same price as 1 product

Scenario 2
- 3 products for the price of 2
- Product 4 will have a discount price

Extra question

What will happen when you buy 6 products?

Hi Matthijs

This depend on how you setup the discount.
You could get a price discount if you buy 3 product
or
You could get a "free" product if you buy 2 products

If the trigger is 3 products, then you need 3 products before a discount i given
ex.
1 = no Discount
2 = no Discount
3 = 1 Discount
4 = 1 Discount
5 = 1 Discount
6 = 2 Discount
etc.

This is all out of the box setting on the discount module.
