Choose default template for newsitems

When creating newsitems it is possible to choose an template. By default the template T11-B11.html is selected, but our customer has his own template which they want to use for newsitems. Is it possible to set an template for newsitems as default?

Yes you can. Go to Modules > Templates and select your news module. Here you can set a template as default. You can also limit (and sort) the number of templates the customer sees in the News module. Do not delete or deactivate any templates that already are in use in an news article, as this means you will manually have to go through all the news items to set the (new) template.

Ever considered moving this setting to category level?
It would be very useful to be able to select a default template per category in the news module...
