Import new area

Hi
I'm trying to import a translated xml file in the Website module. The xml file is translated from an existing area. I get a ’The XML could not be loaded.’ error. Do I have to rename every page ID’s to different numbers?
Is there anything I should pay particular attention to when importing?

Regards Thomas

How to: translate languages areas.

Export:

1. Login to backend

2. Under modules -> open websites

3. Copy the Language/Area you want to translate.

5. Click the button “export” on the new area, and save the xml-document. (to make sure the XML have the correct ID's)

Make the changes/translations you want to make in the xml file - And then place the translated xml-file in the files folder.

Import:

1. Under websites press import -> find the translated XML file and then click the “next”  -> import.

Now the system inserts the translated xml files from the imported xml-file into the area.

But be aware that the import/export functions only to translate pages and paragraphs – It won’t import modules etc.

Dennis
