Date/time tag extensions for custom order fields

Hi,

I would like to use datetime tag extensions in the templates for shoppingcart v2. The field is now rendered like this:

21-3-2011 0:00:00

I would like to hide the time; only display the date.

I tried both CustomDateField.Clean.MediumDate and CustomDateField.MediumDate but they don't seem to work.

Is it possible to use the extensions or is there an alternative?

I'll have it checked out. If it is not rendered with extensions, we will bug it and have it fixed.

I'm investigating this, but need more information.
Is it custom order field or custom product field or is another custom field?

It's a custom order field, defined via Management Center >> Ecommerce >> Order fields.

I tried both the Date and DateTime types.

Please let me know if you need more information.

I reproduced it, and it's now bugged as Bug 6275.
