Setting the Content-Type for Order Notifications

Reply
Hi,

We are experiencing some difficulties using the Notification feature available for each Order State (eCommerce settings > orders > order state).
The mail itself is sent, but the currency symbol (€) is not displayed correctly, probably because of wrong character encoding.
We tried setting the content type using a mime http-equiv tag in the template, but it doesnt seem to make any difference.

We found that using the € html entity (& euro;) works fine, but of course only for HTML output.

Is there a way to set the character encoding for the e-mail as we can in the paragraph module settings for the ShoppingCartV2 Notifications?

We are using DynamicWeb 7.2 (build 19.2.0.4)

Thanks in advance.

Steven

I've asked one of our developers to look into this. Mails should be sent using UTF-8 by default.

But - we will dig into it and provide an answer.

Hi

Exploring this issue reveals, that no explicit encoding is actually set for the mails being sent. I've created a bug item in our backlog for this, #6136, to add an encoding selector to the Order State Edit window under Order Flows.
