Hi,

We have a client hosting externally that want's to configure a separate smtp just for the newsletters. This was possible in Extended, but in v3 I can only seem to use the dropbox.

 - He sends up to 80.000 e-mails at a time (around 100kb each)
 - Dropbox would require sync between two folders (servers) to keep separete mail server activity (we want to avoid this)
 - is there a way to limit the end kb result of a newsletter?
 - does the module manage (or can we) a break after 10.000 e-mails (for example) so that the server does not overload and crashes

Hope someone can help me,
Nuno

P.S.: In another view, he developed a script that would be much apprecciated as standard. manages and counts the number of bounced e-mails (and reason) and deactivates users based on it, reporting the situation.

Hi Nuno

You can only use dropfolders. When setting up the SMTP of the server simply use the second smtp as smarthost. Problem solved.

The size of the newsletter is simply the size of markup and text - so use less markup and write less text :-).
