The languages in question are:
Danish, English and German.
I have tested an import with an product .XML file with the language attribute set to LANG1. This worked like a charm.
Now I need to find out if I can manipulate the language settings for the product backend in Dynamicweb or if I need to import the products again, with the language attribute set to english and german.
How do I import the same product into DynamicWeb so that it can be displayed both in danish, English and German?

Management of languages is held on page {Management center->eCommerce->Internacionalization->Language}. There also you can see the ID of the language(see screenshot). To import the product in different languages, you have to copy the node of the product in XML file and set the needed language ID.
