Some of the new features in eCom 7.1 are descibed on page:

"Discounts
Now, it is possible to set up both volume discounts and user specific discounts.
 
By purchasing several products it is possible for the customer to obtain a volume discount. It is also possible to set up different types of discount campaigns. (requires the module Extranet/Intranet)"

Will it be possible to enter specific prices on a product for selected Extranet groups?

Example:
A product costs DKK 10,- for ordinary users.
For extranet user group A, the price is DKK 9,-
For extranet user group B, the price is DKK 8,-

Another product costs DKK 10,- for ordinary users.
For extranet user group A, the price is DKK 7,-
For extranet user group B, the price is DKK 7,-

Can this scenario be solved with eCom 7.2?

A new discount type is available in 7.2 where you can create a discount that use the price from  a custom price field. The discount can as with other discount be limited to a certain user group/user.

That sounds great.
How well will these custom price fields work with languages and automatic currency calculations?
Will they work the same way as ordninary price fields?

Hi

No in this first implementation of the feature, you will be able to have the discount react on a standard custom product field (type integer or decimal). So yoy'll have to enter the special price in this particular field on the product.
