Hi,
In stores you often see a discount for limited quantity of a products, and any purchase above this quantity is at the regular bidding price. Dynamicweb eCommerce supports separate unit prices for specified quantities of a given products, but it's not possible to let a limit for the lower prices.
Does anyone want to share their experience in implementing something like this i ecom, or would it be possible to have it implemented as a standard feature?

In denmark that would be against the the good old købelov i think... And I'm a great snitter :)
You would always be able to do this by creating your own discount or priceprovider or combination of those 2.

No, no, it's quite legitimit and widely used. Here's an example from Elgiganten http://screencast.com/t/yVyU7gW7sF7.
My situation is this:
Unit price is 15
3 units cost 30 (unit price: 10)
Unit price when purchasing more than 3 in one order is the regular unit price, so 5 units cost 60.
As far as I remember, limiting customers to buy more than three units of a product is against the good old købelov, which is probably what you're thinking about:)

If I implement a structure to support the above example i ecom, it would be:
Unit price 1: 15
Unit price 2: 10
Unit price 3: 15
But it will calculate all 6 at at the unit price of 15, to the total about will be 75.

The built in system cannot handle this...
You have to do it your self.
And rules where changed in 2007 - so it is legal:

Its because I'm getting old - more than 10 years ago i was studying those things... Back when I was just a young boy!

Well, don't worry. There's still use for the grey gold;)
But I assume that this is not something you consider implementing?
