Hi there,

The News V2 module does not support searching (which is a shame, but an entirely different topic). So, to enable searching in News, we configured the old News module and set up searching. This works fine for News V1 fields such as the body.

But how can I set up the search module to search in the News V2 specific Meta fields as well? I thought about registering a fake module to search in those fields. However, that probably means I may end up with duplicate results, and possible other issues.

Any way around this? Can I customize the search activity somehow and / or plug in my own news articles? Any other solution to this problem?

Also, are there plans to fix searching for News V2 and search in meta data as well?
