I have a nig problem. A client needs to work with newsletter v3 because of the OS (Windows Vista) an text editor problem.
The client has 7 newsletter lists in the extended module (v2) and needs to import them into newsletter v3. There is no problem with the extranet/intranet and newsletter import/export feature is warning about.
The big problem is:
1 - I cannot import from newsletter extended into a category because some users belong to more than one list. Result: will not update user nor duplicate user when trying to import, nor gives a warning of which users have not been imported/updated
2 - Cannot export correctly from newsletter extended into a file with Name, E-mail, Subscriber lists. For example:
User A, belongs to lists X and Y
User B, belongs to lists X and Z
Result of export: Both user A and user B belong to all lists (X, Y and Z)
3 - When we manage to export from newsletter extended, it never export in UTF-8, so we have to dig from "weird" characters in names
4 - The Find and Replace of Newsletter extended list ID into Newsletter v3 category ID is simple, however always necessary :S
5 - Even if we do manage to export, find and replace char and "merge" subscriber's lists, Newsletter v3 does not import subscribers, taking into account the newsletter categories
Because of this we basically have to import manually all of duplicated users. Did anyone have the same problem? Is there a solution?
