18.16.1.1 (RC1) not using the new look ?

Reply

 Hi,

Just installed the 18.16.1.1(RC1) of DW for testing purposes. Now during the techreview I noticed that slick new (Office 2007) look and feel in the backend, but it's not yet in this version ?

Kind Regards,

Emil

Hi Emil,

Go into Control Panel > Edit and you will find a checkbox to activate it. Enjoy, I already am :D

First of all you must be logged in as Administrator. Admin doesn't cut it. If you look at the hidden page, you version must be version 18.16.1.1. If that's not the case, have a look at /Files/Updates.xml. The number here should be 290. For /Files/UpdateVersion_ecom.xml the number should be 82. I just discovered that there are different version numbers in these two files in the release, so the actual version number will be set to first 18.16.1.1 and then 18.16.0.0. If that's the case, the the number in in Updates.xml to 289 and reload the solution.

Thanks Lars!

It was at 290, and when I forced it to 289, and rerun the update the option appeared!

We love the new Interface! Keep up the good work!

Hehe nice!

I want to add that all developers here are quite enthousiastic about the XSLT features you have added into the system.

dear sir

I had just create a new solution by using version 18.16.1.1 and download a empty database.

I can't find any place to swicth the new design "ribbon" on.

I get also the error:

ModuleLightMicro15Access

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: ModuleLightMicro15Access

When i hit the panel "moduler", what i'm doing wrong ??

Regards

Nhi

It seems you forgot to update the assemblies of your custom solution. Copy the dll files from your standard Dynamicweb application to the bin directory of your custom solution. For more information read the Upgrade chapter in the Solution Installation SDK.
