Ugyldigt tegn i: SystemNavn

Reply

I get the errormessage "Ugyldigt tegn i: SystemNavn" when I try to register a new module

"Fonqi.ForumModule". I know the error is the ".".

But my question is why this name is bad?

I registered a Module with the name "Fonqi.UserModule" about a week ago without any problems. The module works fine as does the new "Fonqi.ForumModule" locally.

Do I really have to rename my dll and all references in my project to "FonqiForumModule"? or what do I do?

And what is the explanation of this limitation?

And did it really change within the last 2 weeks?

Sorry, hadn't seen your thread.

No idea why this should be an illegal character, but please note the naming convention of files associated to a module insists (and in some cases require) that they must also bear the ModuleSystemName (icon, module folder, template folder and edit page for paragraph setup). Shouldn't be much a problem in these days, though.

Have you tried registering the module in the Module table (of Dynamic.mdb)?
