As topic state's it would be great to be able to define a different 404 page for each language

Not only that, but some more features per language/area would come in handy, like personalized URL's, Efficiency settings (Control Panel - General) and eCom general settings.

Would be nice to have a structured environment, so we could choose general settings or language/area specific, similar to stylesheets and page settings

This is interesting... Not that other discussions here aren't:) But for a system having mostly Danish clients, it's interesting what we can do better to accomodate needs in other parts of the world, that we haven't thought of. So please, keep posting and let's see what happens:)

I totally agree on the eCom part. It would be very nice to see different settings pr. language/area with eCom aswell. Let's hope this and my comment above gets implanted asap :)

What's the status about the 404 page for each language layer? Haven't seen it in Dynamicweb 7, why not?

Its in the product backlog for 7.1 due around march... Along with other website management improvments. i.e. update of internal links when copying areas, language management, export and import of websites etc.

What is the status of this feature? Is it possible to configure a 404 page for each language or do we need to do it with code?

This thread is 7 years old :-). A quick glance in the manual says it has been fixed: http://manual.dynamicweb-cms.com/Default.aspx?ID=7273
