Integration Vs. Import/Export

Reply

Hi,

I never worked with neither, but from what I understand they can both import data from an SQL database to Dynamicweb databases.

We need to have a solution where the system checks for changed data in either location and update them both, on a daily basis. However I do not know which system would provide me with the best options/performance. Can anyone give me a hint, so that we can licence one or another?

Best Regards,

Nuno

Using the Integration module you can map the fields of data source to the destination table they should be placed in. Using the Import/Export module you have much mure functionality available since you can code your own activities to base your import on. There are a bunch of activities available per default that given a specified format allows you to import data to eCom.

If you're going to integrate to eCom, I would suggest you to use Import/Export.

Please go to http://documentation.dynamicweb.dk/Development-23323.aspx and download the 7812_(en-US)_Import_Export__Dynamicweb_eCommerce.pdf for an introduction to Import/Export.
