DefaultEmptyDataSQL

Reply

I recently downloaded the latest Application for a blank development site, along with DefaultEmptyDataSQL.zip

The problem is that this Database is not quite up to date with the application and I keep getting missing column errors here and there.

While there at the very least ought to en update sqlscript in the download section - there is actually nothing.

Who has a script that can correct this ?

Go to the solutions /Files directory, locate the file Update.xml and open it using Notepad (its not really a xml file). In there you will find a number, propably 212 which is the database version. Simply set it to i.e. 180, iisreset and access the website again. The Dynamicweb will update the database with the required changes.

The result can be found in /Files/updatelog.html

AHA! nifty little thing there :)

It didn't quite do it for me as the errors I was getting was in releation to eCOM but I applied the same procedure to the UpdateVersion_ecom.xml which apparently solved the issue

Thanks a bunch

Glad you made it work.

I'll look into a solution to the problem. I think we can publish a daily backup of the DefaultEmptyDataSQL from the backup server to the website. Then it would always be the newest version.
