Culture formatting on decimal numbers

We have a Netweight field based on a UnitsFieldTypeProvider, and in the backend (PIM) the decimal numbers are entered with . (dot):

Even the website setting are set to Danish (Denmark) for the frontend, we still gets a decimal . (dot) instead of the expected , (comma):

How to fix this?

Hi Michael

In this case it is because the value is stored in the database as a string with the value "1.5 kg" and it will not change with the culture when rendering in the frontend.

We are looking into if it is possible for us to fix this somehow. But it might not be possible because of how it is stored.
