XSLT - status?

I would love to replace my HTML templates in Dynamicweb with XSLT... But I

constantly find holes in the XML...

Could you please give this priority - or perhaps a status of when we can switch to XSLT templates without having to step in holes in the XML. Just today I was trying to show a product using XSLT but found that the large image just does not exist in the XML :-(

Hi Sten

Tell me about the holes and I'll give you a status.

Hi,

I would like to know how to get my hands on the XML generated by Dynamicweb at any given time. I would love to start using XSLT templates but still have some questions.

Can I use xslt templates just for one module or once I use them, I have to use them for the whole website?

Are there any xslt standard templates?

Best Regards,

Nuno

Hi Nuno

You can't get XML at any time in Dynamicweb.

But if you have chosen a pagetemplate called page.xslt and add 'savetemplatexml=true' to the URL the system will generate an XML file called page_testdata.xml in the Page folder under templates.

The content of page_testdata.xml is the XML that is available for your pagetemplate and this is the structure you  parse in your XSLT file.

The content of page_testdata.xml is not the actual data used in the final output but just representation, so it can be deleted when you're done.

Any idea if simple things like images on ecom product lists will be available in the xml as of the DW 7 release? Or would I have to wait for the following ecom update?
