XHTML end tag omitted and cannot validate with W3

Hi

I'm having trouble W3 validating pages with our custom templates. Some have the response is transformed so the end tags gets removed.It does not effect the default meta-tags from the CMS like the Generator-tag or the Canonical-tag.

In the module 'Frontpage' we have set the HTML-type to 'XHTML 1.0'.

We are currently on version 8.3.1.18.

I have attached a example of the template (template.png) where the meta-tag 'X-UA-Compatible' have a ending slash. When I view the html source in fx Google Chrome (Google-Chrome-source.png) the slash is removed!!.

Hi Kenneth

You should change your doctype to the html 5 one and do the same on your website settings - that should solve the problem and switch to the best rendering. Html5 is not as regid as xhtml1.
