Template tag not rendering

We are using the template tag  

<!--@DwPageUpdateDate-->

Unfortunately since the update to 8.2.2.6, this no longer renders in the paragraph template?
We really need to solve this issue due to legal compliance issues does any one have any ideas!

Paragraph template:

<div class="section">
  <p><!--@ParagraphText-->&nbsp;<!--@DwPageUpdateDate--></p>
</div>
Not sure if there is a way of forcing it to render!

Hi Andrew

 

Which version did you upgrade from?

 

And have you had the opportunity to try this with the latest 8.2.3? That version have had a change to the scope of template tags due to the implementation of Razor that should also solve this issue.

Hi

 

I have tried to reproduce the problem, but DwPageUpdateDate and DwPageUpdateDateTime are rendered in 8.2.2.6 and in our latest version 8.2.3.3.

Remember to enable the time stamp in page properties in "Display ´last update´" in order to render these 2 tags. Here is a video that shows that it works in 8.2.2.6 when the setting is enabled: http://screencast.com/t/Hl6QBTll.

Another tag that is always rendered is DwPageUpdatedDate.

Thank you for your fast response, the issue seems to be that the template tag is in the paragraph template not page template! It all worked before on the DW7? the page setting etc are correct.

I will have to test before updating the solution again as we need to check all custom modules!

Hi Andrew

 

The template engine in DW8 is different than in DW7 and that is why you cannot use page tags in paragraphs on DW 8.

 

The issue is solved though with the latest 8.2.3

Again thanks for the info, I have gone for the upgrade after checking a few items first and it has solved the issue!

 

To keep the Forum up to date:

Version 8.2.2.6 does not render in paragraph templates the 

<!--@DwPageUpdateDate-->

tag  - solution update to 8.2.3
