Is it not possible to include a global page, without using the API?

RenderPageContent() gives no result in DW 9.10.13

What is the error. 

If we killed it, I think it is a mistake

Sorry, typing mistake.

What i meant was, RenderPageContent(pageid) does not give any result. Am i mistaking, or was this possible in earlier versions? NB. i am trying to render a itembased page, and its template.
