Is GetMaster() working?

Hi guys,

 

I'm trying to get the tag "GetMaster" to work.

According to the documentation (http://templates.dynamicweb-cms.com/TemplateTags/Dynamicweb-template-tags/General-tags/GetMaster%28%5BTemplateTag%5D%29.aspx) it should work on all loops.

 

I tried both a standard loop, and a custom loop, and none of them parse my tag.

 

Inside my loop i have this:

<--@GetMaster(Ecom:Product.Number)-->  ( removed ! on purpose :-) )

 

Currently i'm on 8.1.2.5 and it's not working.

 

Has anyone used it with success?

We have some issues with the tag, but we are trying to fix it for 8.2.

Hi Merethe,

 

If it's still in beta, then i would like to request that the tag should also works inside these tags aswell:

<--@EmptyLoopStart--><--@EmptyLoopEnd-->
<--@HeaderStart--><--@HeaderEnd-->
<--@FooterStart--><--@FooterEnd-->

Not supporting the above make the tags 50% less usefull.

Hi

The problem that you refer to is registered in a seperate bug 9465, but it´s not planned for 8.2, but I have noticed your wish on the bug.

But I hope that the fix of the general problems with getmaster will fix it. It hasn't been tested yet.

Yes, but the emptyloop issue is not planned for 8.2, so I can't promise that it's fixed for 8.2.

Hi all

Just to inform you:
Getmaster is not fixed in 8.2, but a similar functionality is on its way, but due to bugs durings the tests of 8.2, we have postboned it a bit.
They are still working on this and it'll soon be ready.

FYI... A reincarnation of the tag is available in 8.2.1.0 - The "Parent" tag.
