Hi DW's
We have made a shop, and the client would like to point the domain to the server. But the shop is not ready to go online yet, so the client want a splashpage, and noone should be able to find any products on the site.
What would be the best way to hide the cms and shop and make a splashpage? we don't have language module or such. Almost only standard modules.
The client should be able to see the shop (with a special link?), and edit and see the shop. but the standard users on the net should be prohibited access.

In the menu in the administration, right click the name of the website above the tree structure (By default it is called "Standard"), choose Edit. On the properties for the websites, click the button HTML, and choose a "Static frontpage" which is just a HTML with the splash text.
Then no navigation etc. will be seen - and they can work on the pages by previewing them.

Hi Nicolai,
thanks :-)
Are all pages blocked from viewing that way? if a user comes from google to a subpage which is indexed, can they see it or will they be transferred to the splash page?
*the question refers to a redesign of a page.

It will be visible if they know the URL - but they do not. Only way to avoid that is setting up a password on the top pages or setting rights on the website itself.
