The old form module has a lot of neat options to create a dynamic layout, using separators , column shifts, server side validation and whatnot, which has been abandonded in the new module. When creating complex forms, the client believes (and I believe he has a point) it is much easier to create the form in the old module, in order to make it easier for the end user to digest.

Now, the problem occurs when the client wants to save the data to a .CSV, as this is only possible in the new form module.

1) Is there a specific reason why layout and validation options have been removed from the new module?

2) Is there a different method of saving to .CSV? The client has the extended versions of both the new and old form modules.
