assigning templates

My specific problem is that I want to test a new menu that is different from the one currently online in the used template. Therefore I have made a second template including the new menu to test.  

I can't figure out how to assign the new page template to my testpage in the navigation.

The only thing i can find is how to assign the template to alle pages in the navigation.

Help anyone?

Are you using designs & layouts?

Then right click the page, choose properties, go to layout tab and apply the template.

You can also add ?LayoutTemplate=Designs/myDesign/myTemplate.html to the querystring.

If you are using page and master templates (placed in /Templates/Page/*), add ?Template=MyPageTemplate.html to the querystring to apply it.
