User Group Permissions

Hello,

We are hoping that someone can provide insight as to why the User Group Permissions that we have configured are not working correctly.  We are trying to have a User that is assigned to a Customer Service User Group have permissions to see only the User and Ecommerce areas.  However, the Ecommerce permissions are not working correctly (or are getting overwritten by another permission).  Can you please review the attached recording for our Permission configurations?

Here are also some screenshots to show what has been configured under Permissions:

Thank you,

Hello,

As I can see the problem is in permissions set for "Modules" area.
You set the "None" permission explicitly, which means that the user have no access to all the modules as like as Shops and others.
The "None" permission is always have higher priority - it interrupts the permissions hierarchy.

So, you can change permissions for "Modules" area to "Not set" and "Ecommerce" area should work as you expected - access to the modules will be correctly inherited from "Ecommerce".

Generally you do not need to set the "None" permission explicitly, since "Not set" works similarly, but do not interrupt permissions hierarchy as like as in this example.
