Anyone else experiencing that TinyMCE is failing and not working in the website settings for Rapido?
It is complaining about a missing language file iv.js ?!

You server culture seems to be set to a language the editor does not support. iv - I do not even know what culture that is...!

I have added a feature to ensure that Tiny will fallback to a language that our implementation of the editor supports.

Okay, but then I think my hosting partner (Dynamicweb) maybe need to look at that?

It is related to our partner site at mennt.no, which is hosted by you.
Maybe you could have a look at the server?

We have the same missing iv files that comes from the backend running in invariant culture mode. BBut my editor is not disabled on website settings for that reason.

So I am not sure it is what is causing the issue. But we will fix the iv.js issue.

Ok, but the TinyMCE is working all other places except in "Website Settings".
In regular content blocks there are no issues.

Yes - but in some of the other places it works eventhough the call for iv.js is also returning 404 on those pages.

So - they may or may not be related. I.e. on my solution I can use the editor on website settings even with a missing iv.js file. So they are not connected 100%,

Hi everyone,

I'm having a similar issue, not in Website Settings but in the Form app settings.

Using the old editor I can save my text but using the Tiny editor, the text doesn't save.

We're running into the TinyMCE issue on another site. It's on 9.9.7 but I manually applied the fix above (Bug 2129) by updating the .js file. However, that didn't fix it.

What's odd is that another site on the same server with the same version of the framework doesn't have the issue. I even copied the web.config file from the good site to the bad site, but that didn't help either.

Both the good and bad site have plenty of console errors so I'm not sure what to focus on. What else should we look for?

Here's how to repro:

  • Good site: https://dev-upwego.mydwsite2.com/Admin/Default
  • Bad site: https://dev-beaker-wgo.dw-demo2.com/Admin/Default

You can see the issue by:

  • go to Content -> Home -> pick one of the standard paragraph paragraphs (the 7th paragraph works on both sites)
  • scroll down to the TinyMCE text form
  • when it's working, it should look like this:
  • when it fails, it will have the File/Edit/View/Format at the top

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Scott

Bump? We're still struggling with the issue Scott reported above.

Still the problem on an older version? Or the new version?

As Scott explained above, we have two sites in the same version (9.9.7), and it works well in one of them, but it doesn't in the other.
