Image crop function is not working correctly

Hi, 

We tried to change the crop function from center to left, but it doen't change anything in frontend. (see attachment). 

When placing an image, it would be easy that we can decide from where the image will be cropped.

How is that possible?

Hi Manon

Unfortunately there are some bugs in GetImage that delivers the images to Rapido. Dynamicweb 9.4 includes fixes for this. But you may have to save each paragraph using the setting again. 

If you are already making customizations on the solution, you can go to the ProductsRender.cshtml file. At the bottom of that file the paragraph images are handled. You can read this documentation: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-8/platform/platform-features/image-handler and try to implement diferent crop modes directly in the template.

We have already made the image crop setting on the paragraph much better in the next release of Rapido.

Hi Karsten, 

Thank you for you answer. We like to use the rapido settings and not to change the templates ourselfs. 

In which relase of rapido will these crop settings be changed? Is this release already out or when will it come out? And does it have te same problems as updating to 9.4 that you have to change the paragrapgh settings again? And what do you recommend, updating to 9.4 or updating to the new rapido release?

Hi Manon

The fix for GetImage is included in 9.4, and you may have to save each paragraph again. But start by testing if upgrading to 9.4 solves the problem, if you are ready to upgrade.

It is a really great and secure approch to try to not make any customizations. But in very rare cases, and especially while using a beta version of the software (Rapido), it can be neccesary to make a customization to solve a bug.

Of course it is really irritating that there has been a bug on GetImage. If you are not satisfied of the cropping provieded by the current paragraph implementation, it is always possible to make your cropping in Photoshop or something else, before you upload.
