Hidden fields on mobile

Hi,

On our solution we have a slider with quotes on the homepage: www.holland-controls.com.
To make the quotes visible as we want we use some empty blocks on desktop (which are hidden for mobile in CMS).
Unfortunately those empty blocks are also shown on mobile (see screenshots).

Can someone help me to solve this so that mobile also looks nice?

Best regards
Gerard

Hi Gerard

I am not sure what you mean about emty blocks? But do you create different paragraphs, and the use the settings for hiding in the "Other" section in the ribbon bar?

Hi Karsten,

Thanks for your reply. With empty blocks I mean the grey blocks without quote.
In CMS I hide them for mobile (see attached) but they still seem to be shown.
We use them on desktop to make it look better.

I hope this makes it clear for you.

Best regards

Hi Gerard

It sounds a little mystrious. But you actually has another option for setting this up. In the Dynamicweb backend, while inside the paragraph, click on the options tab in the ribbon bar. Here you have settings to toggle visibility on different devices. Does that solve the problem?

Hi Karsten,

Doe you mean the attached option? In that case I think the whole container is hidden and not the individual paragraphs.
You still don't see the quotes on mobile... Are do you mean something else?

Yes, that is the one. I am having problems re-creating the error on my solutions. If this is the only place you have the problem, maybe you could make a copy of the paragraph container, and then configure one for desktop and one for mobile. If you do that, you will also be able to create slides more targeted for mobile.

Will that solve the problem?

If I try to copy the paragraph container I receive error: 'Standard paragraphs are not allowed.'

That sounds like some kind of Dynamicweb bug? As far as I can see on your site, it seems that the copy has worked. You have a "Banner -  standard" and a "Banner - mobile". Or am I misunderstanding something?

Hi Karsten,

I suggest it was because of global elements, I already solved it and it works :-)
Thank you very much for helping me!

Best regards
