Yes. Not a group tree, but a group list as facet.
The index contains a field called "GroupIDs"
If you create a parameter called "GroupID" and a facet using the GroupID parameter on the GroupIDs field, you should get what you want. See dump.
The field is group id, but the id will be translated into the name of the group for the facet labels when rendered.
