Frontend login

Hello,

I am using DW9+Rapido. I create users, and they can login to the backend but not to the frontend.

After entering email and password in the frontend, same page appears and not infomation of the error is shown, similar as described here: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum/templates/templates/login-attempt-fail-error-message

Any suggestion?

Hi Tomas

Hard to tell without seeing your setup. My guess is that your user is not member of a group that will give access to the page you are trying to view. We need a link to the solution in order to look at it further.

Hi Nicolai,
I cannot provide a link because it is a local solution.
It is an out-of-the-box installation of DW 9.4.1 and Rapido 1.0BETA2. When a user try to login to the frontend (e.g. DemoUser), no error is prompted but no access is given. When selecting the menĂº "My profile" on the main toolbar, this page is displayed asking again for the data of the user. Entering the data again returns to the same page.

What it should be done in a new installation to allow users to login in the frontend? Probably I missed something during the setup, but I don't know what.

Thanks for your help

UPDATE: I installed a new solution in Azure with Rapido 2.0, but the problem persists. Users cannot sign in using the frontend main menu. The solution address is: https://dw9netaservice.azurewebsites.net/, User: Administrator, Password: Nicolai

Hi Thomas

Not sure you can login to the frontend using the backend "Administrator" account. You should go with the "DemoUser" account instead. But it seems to have the same issue.

I noticed you installed using 9.4.2 - the requirements for Rapido 2 is 9.4.4 - it could be the issue... First upgrade and see what happens.

I upgraded my local solution to DW9.4.5 + Rapido 2.0. The error is still there, DemoUser cannot sign in the frontend.

It is a brand new installation, so I guess the error is a misconfiguration.
