Add more contacts to one user

Hi,

For our ISTwente solution (Which is a primary and secondary school) we have an application form which should be filled in bij the parent:
https://istwente.azurewebsites.net/istwente/admissions/how-to-apply/application-form.

At the end of the form we ask the parent for his E-mail address which is the unique identifier of a user (see attachement).
But it could be that one parents would like to fill in the form for another child. Can we somehow add more children to 1 parent (user)?

I do not understand.

It is the parent that will be created as a user - and they can still submit the form several times?

Hi Nicolai,

I am sorry it is a bit confusing, but it is also hard to explain....

Imagine you are a parent and you have 2 children you would like to joint IST, we have a apllication form.
You fill in all the fields and confirm, you as a parent are user.
But than you fill in the same form for another child and all fields (because you are the user) are overwritten with child 2.

Reason we would like to have the user is because the parent needs a confirmation mail with all fields filled in to check it.
So if we can add all form fields into the confirmation mail, the problem is also solved.
Work around we were thinking about was: make custom fields of all the form fields, map the fields and send the confirmation mail by newsletter template filled with all custom fields.

Hope you understand my issue better now, do you think you can help me?

Hi Gerard

Then you will have to use the user management module instead. So you basically create a user for the parent and one for each child... I am affraid there is no simple way around this.

I knew this would be a hard one to solve, but thanks for your reply anyway.
What do you mean by creation a user for parent and child, is that possible in one form? Or do you mean we need to make two seperate forms?

You cannot in one form - not without custom stuff.

You would have to make a flow using the user management module where the parent creates a profile and then the children etc.

Hi Nicolai,

Thanks for thinking with us, do I understand correct that you suggestion would be:
1. Parents fill in a parent form (Create user parent), after that they receive a E-mail confirmation with link to (hidden page
2. On the hidden page we put a form where parent can add children (each form creates a child user)

I think it would be a good solution.
