Validation pattern

Hello forum,

- can a validation pattern be applied to all field types or only certain field types?  Currently I'm trying to reduce the number of digits to max. 2 with a validation pattern, but the validation rules doesn't seems to work.

Hello Oleg,

"To help editors enter more consistent data when enriching products you can enable product field validation for both standard and custom fields. This is done by entering a validation pattern using regular expressions and a validation error message for the field."

I have done some tests on a DW9.12.5 and validation only seems to work on text fields.

If validation can't be applied to eg. Decimal or Integer fields, it could be nice if the validation fields where hidden or disabled + the manual's topic should be updated.

Hello,

the issue is reproduced on last DW9.13.0 as well. I've created task 6509 to investigate and fix the issue - adding the validation for the types or disable/hide the controls in definition otherwise. Thanks for finding.
