Storing assets from the publication feature

Hi,

When creating assets such as a TDS, you can use the Publications feature. It generates the asset on the fly.

However, the generated asset is not automatically linked to, or stored in, the product’s asset category. How would you design a flow that allows Publications to be used while also saving a version of the generated asset in the correct asset category?

Hi Davy,

When generate a PDF in Publications, it fetch needed assets/images from PIM and there are prepare a Publication version of it, there are included in final generated PDF.

These assets/images are only generated temporary, to be used in that particullar PDF, and will be removed afterwere  

So these assets/images will not be added to products in PIM, because it's normaly only original Assets (hi-resolution) there are assigned to Products in PIM.

Can you explain, why you need these converted/prepared assets/images back on Products ?
