Setup data export from Digital Assets Portal

Hi DynamicWeb,

One of our clients is using Digital Assets Portal, where we are trying to setup the fields to be exported, when downloading the product data.

So how can we avoid to export nodes like: Groups, ReplacementProduct, Price, PriceInformative, PriceBeforeDiscount, Discount, PrimaryOrDefaultGroup, VariantInfo, AssetCategories, ImagePatternImages, GroupPaths and Groups? How should we setup the settings for the Feed Provider on this screen to achieve that? Because e.g. selecting nothing in the price section exports everything about prices :-)

Best regards, Anders

Hi Anders,

When using the feed providers, it works the way where if nothing is selected, then everything is basically selected.
But if you just select only the fields you want to show from the relevant categories, then it should only export those fields.

So in your specific scenario, I would expect the feed to only expose the "Brand" field, and not any of the other custom fields.

I hope it answers your question.

Best regards,

Steffen

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for getting back. My question is how do i totally get rid of fields like these: Groups, ReplacementProduct, Price, PriceInformative, PriceBeforeDiscount, Discount, PrimaryOrDefaultGroup, VariantInfo, AssetCategories, ImagePatternImages, GroupPaths and Groups? Or is this feature missing in DynamicWeb?

Best regards, Anders

Hi Anders,

It should simply just be to do something like this:
So keeping all the fields, you want to exclude in the left part of the "Product system fields". However I can see that the option of excluding VariantInfo and AssetCategories are missing

Hi Steffen,

I am testing on 10.17.8, and I still cannot figure out how to avoid those unwanted fields.

Can we schedule a session where you can show me, or should I contact support? You can also just make the needed setup directly on the solution, if that is easier for you?

Best regards, Anders

Hi Anders,

If you can provide me a URL, I would be happy to take a look, and see if I can get it to work there, and then if it makes sense, we can always have a small session afterwards.

Best regards,

Steffen

I had the case in QA. This is the response:

You can send your URL to care@ and they will tag Steffen.

Checked on Swift solution, I see expected behavior corresponds to SHA's last reply in the forum.

Here is XML feed set up without any field limitation and XLST (OK):

And another one has the same settings except the not needed fields not included (OK):

And output:
