Hello,
Why are certain products and variants grayed out in a query list? I can't seem to find any logic behind it.

Hi Søren
Could it have something to do with the language that you are currently editing PIM groups in and the product not being saved on this language?
Which version are you working in?
Best regards Anett
The product exists in all languages, so that's not it.
DW 9.9.1
No Clue then :-)
Except from maybe variant options not existing in all languages or something like that
Hi Søren,
The reason why some products and variants are greyed out is that they do not match the criteria set by the query. We do this because we need to show the variants under their master product, otherwise, it would quickly be confusing, but this means that no matter what, the master product will always show up in the list if any of the variants are hit by the query. The best way we could come up with, which could indicate which products actually match the query criteria, and which are just there because they are part of the same product family, was to grey out the ones, which do not match the query criteria.
Does it make sense?
Best regards,
Steffen
Hello Steffen,
It definitely does.
I had that thought, but couldn't get it to add up in all scenarios where I have experienced 'gray' product lines. E.g. examples where one variant is grayed out on a query that targets a field that can only be set on the master. But that seems to be some faulty data.
Thanks for the reply!
