DW10 - How to persist selected unit in Field Conversion fields?

Hi everyone,

I’m working with Field Conversion fields where we have a default unit set (e.g., cm), but other units are available (e.g., mm).

When an editor enters a value using a non-default unit—for example, entering "10" and selecting "mm"—the system correctly calculates the value. However, after saving and reopening the page, the field displays the converted value in the default unit ("1 cm") instead of the originally entered "10 mm".

Is there a way (configuration or setting) to make the field "remember" the unit that was used during data entry, or does Dynamicweb always revert to displaying the default unit UI-side?

Hi Davy,

The current implementation of "Field conversions" are based on convert values to chosen "Presentation unit"

"Presentation unit" can be defined individual on an Attribute, per Language.

But we will look into a way, for Storing the chosen Unit per Product, so it remember what has been chosen on input. But I do not have date/time for that implementation.
