This contains a lot of images to visualise the situation.
A client has configured 2 completion rules, on master product level and on variant level. In the master product completion rule, DefaultImage is selected to be checked.
This is the primary image selected in the base image asset category.
So I reckon the master product should contain a primary image for it to be calculated in the completion rule. This works when 'Images' is not editable on variants.
When 'Images' is editable on variants
- configuring this setting on the asset categories has no impact.
The base image is editable on both master and variants, but the calculation rule shows only the base on the variants, although the rule excludes variants, see 'image default':
In the above calculation, there is an image default selected for the master product and a different default for the variants. The database contains EcomDetails values for master and variants as wel. Does setting the 'images' to be editable on variants influence the calculation? Also, if we exclude variants in the calculation, does that influence showing the default image on the variants?
The client has said that specifically 'default image' is showing this behaviour, and I'm having difficulties putting the situation in words due to the complexity of the configuration.
Does anybody have some advice or clarification?
