Text styling within the Rich text editor

Hi all,

I am trying to create text where some of the text is styled and some is not.

For example:

"Greetings from Denmark" or "The best option"

This does not seem possible without creating a field for entering custom HTML and rendering that.

Is there something I am overlooking for this seemingly basic functionality?

Best regards,

Dan

Hi Dan

That’s correct — at the moment it’s not possible to mix styles like that.

We intentionally kept the DW10 rich text editor simple to encourage clean, consistent content that works well across devices and layouts, and to make it easier to reuse content in different contexts without inline formatting issues.

That said, we’ve had several requests for more flexible formatting — colors, font sizes, inline images, tables, and so on — and we’re now exploring how to make these options available in a configurable way, so you can choose between a “clean” and a “creative” editing experience.

I respect the choice to keep it simple, however some more options would be really nice for "advanced" users. Glad to hear you are exploring how to provide that.
