Set allowed file extensions for asset

How can I change what file extensions that are allowed in an asset category? We need to allow other types of files than what's available in the File extensions list.

Hello Erik,

- not sure if this is the correct way of adding an file extension for assets (it works), but I would update the Global setting "/Globalsettings/Ecom/Product/Details/Extensions" from the backend.

Thanks Michael! I'm not sure that that setting is used for the asset categories. I can add an extension in Globalsettings but it doesn't affect the list of selectable file extensions. If I uncheck all file extensions I can upload any type of file, even if it's not in Globalsettings.
And a related question: Will DynamicWeb set the correct mime-type for "all" different file types?

Hello Erik,

- that's the way I normally use it, so I don't know why it isn't working for you.  As you can see, is it possible for me to select the file types (rfa + zip) which I added to the GlobalSettings:

PS. I don't know anything about mime-types, so let hope someone else have some knowledge to share.

You are correct. I must have forgotten to restart... My custom file extension now shows up!
Thanks again!
