DW CLI Upload timeout

Hi,

When uploading large amounts of files from local disk to remote server DW CLI randomly gives this error.

AI has this to say about it:

1. What is causing the error?

The error FetchError: ... connect ETIMEDOUT indicates a Network Connection Timeout.

Since you are uploading a "large amount of files," the CLI tool is likely firing off requests faster than the remote server (or an intermediate firewall/load balancer) can handle.

  • Server Throttling: The server sees hundreds of rapid requests from your IP and temporarily blocks or drops new connections to protect itself (Rate Limiting).

  • Socket Exhaustion: Your local machine or the server ran out of available network "sockets" to handle the concurrent transfers.

  • Congestion: The sheer volume of data simply choked the connection, causing the handshake to take too long.

Best regards,
Peter

Hi Peter

I have created bug 26900 to see if we can improve this.
