Duplicate provider DLLs causing error

Hello,

Starting this week, I’ve noticed some strange behavior on a DW10 site. When I try to edit an integration job I get this error:

https://app.screencast.com/Gjdr0m9DyhmbI

When I check the “installed” apps on the site, I only see one instance of the XML provider, so I'm not sure where the duplicate instance is or how it was installed:

I uninstalled the XML provider as a test, and that in turn causes the associated scheduled task to fail, with an error that says it cannot find the DLL anymore. It is not checked into the pipeline since that is not setup. Is there anywhere else a DLL may exist on the site apart from Apps? Any ideas why this is happening?

Thank you,

Skylar Kennedy

Hi Skylar,

We recently moved all the integration providers back into Dynamicweb so they no longer should exist in the addins folder, however it seems it like the xml provider didn't get removed properly.
I understand that it says it's no longer found, however I suspect it might be because the uninstall you did somehow unloaded the one that exists within Dynamicweb as well - if you could give your solution a recycle, then I believe it should work again, and you shouldn't face any issues going forward.

However, this is assuming you're running on version 10.16, if that is not the case, please let me know.

Hello Frederik,

I took the steps to uninstall the remaining integration providers, gave the site a few recycles, and now I can edit my integration job; but am still getting this error when running a scheduled task:

Could not load file or assembly 'Dynamicweb.DataIntegration.Providers.DynamicwebProvider, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. The system cannot find the file specified.

Yes, 10.16 is the version of DW10 I am using.

Uninstalling the apps seems to resolve one thing but break another.

Thank you,

Skylar Kennedy

Hmm okay, a few more questions to hone in on the issue;

Is there any providers at all in the System/Addins/Installed folder?
I see it's complaining about DynamicwebProvider now - if you edit your job, is the DynamicwebProvider selected or how does it look in the edit screen?

Hi,

I do not see any in that folder. https://app.screencast.com/w7laye8qnp1Do

The job is not using DynamicwebProvider: https://app.screencast.com/PwrnI9KhAhoP8

Thank you,
