CLI Uploader features, Assets features

Hi guys,

I am fairly new to the CLI uploader.
I believe that I have managed to get along with it, but I have 2 related requests.
1. CLI Uploader: Add an option to cancel an upload if you realise you've made a wrong folder choice. The current folder selection is not intuitive (yet) for me
2. Assets: In the assets dialog for move or copy, I would like to see an option to move a folder to the root. Right now, I could not find one.

Both of the above are generated by a few attempts to upload a large set of files, resulting in useless uploads and a lot of folder deletions.

Thank you,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,

I'm happy to hear that you've started using the CLI. The more who use it the better in terms of feedback.

  1. As is standard is most command line tools, the cancel command is Ctrl+C. Pressing that key combination will stop the rest of the upload. I will not remove the files that have already been uploaded as this is not a transaction.
You mention that don't find the folder selection intuitive to use. Can you tell in what way?
  2. You're right. This is a limitation of the current folder selector. We have been looking into ways of allowing the root folder to be selectable, but we haven't come to a conclusion yet.

Hi Jeppe,

Thank you for the answers.
My first attempt is to use the CLI Uploader app, not the command line CLI. I have not tried CTRL+C on the app.

It would also be useful if I could upload a single file instead of an entire folder. If this option exists already, I could not find it.

Thank you,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,

I will create two features:

  1. Cancel the current upload

  2. Switch to single file uploads
