We’re running into a challenge with our current setup in Dynamicweb10 PIM. Our client uses workflows and workflow states, but this isn’t sufficient for their needs because multiple departments often work on the same product at the same time. When two people edit different fields of the same product simultaneously and save, one person’s changes can overwrite the other’s, causing data loss.
Ideally, we want Dynamicweb10 to either:
- Instantly update the data for everyone who has the product open when someone saves, or
- Show a pop-up warning if someone else is editing the same product at the same time.
Does anyone have experience solving this in Dynamicweb10? Are there built-in features, best practices, or custom solutions to prevent overwriting each other’s changes when working simultaneously on the same product?
